DragonsBall World Cup 2026 Fantasy Football Lottery — Version 1.1, last updated 11 June 2026

By entering DragonsBall, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before entering. If you do not accept these Terms, please do not enter.

1. The Promoter

1.1 DragonsBall is promoted by Oliver's Dragons ("the Promoter", "we", "us", "our") registered charity number 1213824 of 3 West Towers Mews, Marple, SK6 7GR ("the Charity").

1.2 DragonsBall is operated as a small society lottery registered with Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council under the Gambling Act 2005 with registration number 26/01320. The person responsible for the promotion of the lottery on behalf of the Promoter is Victoria Lowe, contactable at Vicky.lowe@aol.co.uk.

1.3 All proceeds after prizes and permitted expenses go to Oliver's Dragons, a registered charity that supports the wellbeing of children and children impacted by cancer in Marple and the surrounding areas. Further information about the charity is available at oliverbuchanan.co.uk/olivers-dragons-charity.

2. The Lottery

2.1 DragonsBall is a fantasy football lottery linked to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, taking place between 11 June and 19 July 2026 (the "Tournament").

2.2 Each entrant is randomly allocated one team from each of eight pots, giving each entrant a portfolio of eight teams. You can see which teams are in each pot at dragonsball.uk/pots/. The pots are fixed for the duration of the Tournament.

2.3 Points are awarded based on the real-world results of the entrant's allocated teams during the Tournament, as follows:

  • Win: +3 points
  • Draw: +1 point
  • Each goal scored in normal or extra time: +1 point
  • Allocated team wins the Tournament: +3 bonus points

2.4 Goals scored in penalty shoot-outs do not count towards an entrant's score. The official FIFA match record will be used to determine results.

3. Eligibility

3.1 Entry is open to residents of Great Britain aged 18 or over at the date of entry.

3.2 The following persons are not eligible to enter:

  • (a) any person who lives outside England, Wales or Scotland;
  • (b) any person involved in organising, promoting or administering DragonsBall;
  • (c) trustees or members of Oliver's Dragons who have access to information about the draw process; and
  • (d) any person who has previously been disqualified from a lottery run by the Promoter.

3.3 By entering, you confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria. The Promoter may require proof of age and identity before awarding any prize.

3.4 To comply with gambling regulations, the maximum number of entries we can accept is 2,000 - making the maximum total entry receipts £20,000. Once we have reached the maximum number of entrants, the draw will automatically close and we will not accept further entries.

4. Entry Period and How to Enter

4.1 Entries open on 1 June 2026 and close prior to the start of the first match of the group stages of the Tournament on 11 June 2026 (or at the time that we reach the maximum number of entrants as set out at paragraph 3.4, whichever is earlier) (the "Entry Period"). Entries received outside the Entry Period will not be accepted, regardless of the reason for late receipt.

4.2 To enter:

  • (a) visit dragonsball.uk/enter/ and submit your details;
  • (b) you will be issued a unique payment reference;
  • (c) transfer £10 by bank transfer to the account details provided, quoting your unique reference; and
  • (d) your entry is confirmed only when payment is received and matched to your reference. This may take up to 24 hours.
  • (e) You will be asked to choose a unique nickname for your entry. Please ensure your nickname is suitable to be published and isn't offensive or rude. An inappropriate nickname may mean that your entry is disqualified.

4.3 The entry fee is £10 per entry, fixed and equal for all entrants.

4.4 One entry per person. Duplicate entries, entries made on behalf of another person, and entries using false or misleading information will be void and any associated payment may be retained by the Charity.

4.5 No responsibility is accepted for entries or payments that are lost, delayed, misdirected, incomplete or not received. Proof of payment is not proof of valid entry.

5. Allocation of Teams (The Draw)

5.1 Once an entry is confirmed, the entrant is randomly allocated one team from each of the eight pots by an automated random selection process.

5.2 Team allocations are revealed to the entrant once their entry is confirmed and are also recorded on the public leaderboard at dragonsball.uk/leaderboard/. This may take up to 24 hours from entry.

5.3 Allocations are final. Teams cannot be exchanged, transferred, or reallocated under any circumstances.

6. Prizes

6.1 The prize fund consists of 50% of total entry receipts (to a maximum of £20,000 in total entry receipts) distributed as follows:

Last place (lowest points)10% (maximum £2,000)

6.2 The remaining 50% of total entry receipts is paid to the Charity for its charitable purposes.

6.3 Prize amounts depend on the total number of entries received and will not be confirmed until entries close. The Promoter will publish the final prize values on the Website once entries close.

6.4 Prizes are paid in pounds sterling by bank transfer to a UK bank account in the winner's name, within 28 days of the conclusion of the Tournament and verification of the winner's identity and eligibility.

6.5 Prizes are non-transferable and no cash or other alternative will be offered.

7. Ties

7.1 In the event that any two or more entrants tie for any prize winning position, the winner will be determined by the tie breaker question answered when the entrants registered. The prize will be awarded to the tied entrant who provided the closest guess to the total number of yellow cards given during the Tournament.

7.2 Where, in the Promoter's reasonable judgement, a tie cannot be resolved by clause 7.1, the Promoter reserves the right to determine the outcome by coin flip or other simple random method. The result of any such decision is final.

8. Winner Notification and Publication

8.1 Winners will be notified by email to the address provided on entry within 7 days of the Tournament final on 19 July 2026.

8.2 If a winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond within 14 days of notification, or is found to be ineligible, the Promoter reserves the right to forfeit the prize and either reallocate it to the next eligible entrant or donate it to the Charity.

8.3 In accordance with the Gambling Commission's requirements for small society lotteries, the Promoter will publish the first name and county (or equivalent) of each prize winner on the Website. By entering, you consent to this publication. If you object, please contact the Promoter and an alternative form of publication that meets the regulatory requirements will be agreed.

9. Cancellation, Curtailment or Disruption of the Tournament

9.1 If the FIFA World Cup 2026 is cancelled, abandoned, or materially curtailed before completion, the Promoter will, acting reasonably:

  • (a) where sufficient matches have been played that final positions can fairly be determined from points accrued up to the point of curtailment, determine the winners on that basis; or
  • (b) in any other case, determine the winners at random from the pool of eligible confirmed entrants.

Any decision made under this clause is final.

9.2 The Promoter is not responsible for changes to fixtures, results, or scoring outcomes arising from decisions taken by FIFA or other governing bodies.

9.3 In the event of a full systems failure or other circumstance that prevents the Promoter from reliably determining final positions from the scoring data, the Promoter reserves the right to determine the winner or winners completely at random from the pool of eligible confirmed entrants. Any decision made under this clause is final.

10. Disqualification

10.1 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant and void any entry where it has reasonable grounds to believe that the entrant has:

  • (a) breached these Terms;
  • (b) provided false, misleading or fraudulent information;
  • (c) attempted to manipulate the entry, allocation, scoring or leaderboard systems; or
  • (d) acted in a way that could bring the lottery or the Charity into disrepute.

10.2 Entry fees from disqualified entries will be retained for the benefit of the Charity.
